You’ve got to love acquiring the criminal lifestyle when you play Mafia Wars. One of the coolest – Mafia Wars bodyguards! Doubtless, they are good defense equipment, but they aren’t the best defense in Mafia Wars. So why are there so many people looking for them?

Even without the lure of more mafia status, bodyguards are a practical loot because having them can prevent you getting your kass icked on the fightlist.. With all the advice I’ve read about using a ‘whipping boy” from Mafia Wars strategists, it’s no wonder that Mafia Wars bodyguards are such a valuable commodity for beginning players.

Searching for where to find Mafia Wars bodyguards? Look for them in the Protect Your City from a Rival family job in the Hitman tier. Having solid bodyguard defense as soon as level eighteen is one really neat thing about this particular defensive equipment. (If you’re already going to Cuba, you can get a Guerilla Squad with even better defense than bodyguards in El Padrino tier – Storm the Presidential Palace.)

The job that gets you Mafia Wars bodyguards is actually pretty experience/energy efficient, too. Use up 31 energy and receive 58 experience. That’s a 1.87 ratio, which I like strategy-wise for leveling up faster. Beginners would be smart to invest in that job since the loot is great defensive equipment and the experience output is high. If you are attacked by a roughly comparable player, you will win fights due to bodyguards. I advise you to get bodyguards for as many members of your crew as you can.

Bodyguards may not be sufficient to eliminate your fightlist difficulty, though. Are you being picked on by a high level player who has you outmanned, outgunned, and outclassed? What’s a Mafia Wars whipping boy to do?
